Seven days, seven countries, seven-hundred miles.
This year Park Leisure’s charity effort takes the form of the 777 challenge - and is bigger than ever. Braving the journey will be CEO Miles Dewhurst, Director of Communications Olly Gardner, Operations Director James Gourlay and former CEO Gary Molloy.
The quartet will be pounding the pedals across seven central European countries in just seven days for children’s cancer charity Candlelighters and Cancer Research UK, with the aim of raising £100,000. Our foursome pass through the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia and Italy en route to Venice.
The team set off on 2nd October - and here’s what the challenge has in store for them:
Day 1: Start! 🇨🇿 Czech Republic, 🇦🇹 Austria, 🇸🇰 Slovakia.
Day 2: 🇸🇰 Slovakia, 🇭🇺 Hungary
Day3: 🇭🇺 (more) Hungary!
Day 4: 🇭🇺 Hungary, 🇭🇷 Croatia
Day 5: 🇭🇷 Croatia, 🇸🇮 Slovenia
Day 6: 🇸🇮 Slovenia, 🇮🇹 Italy
Day 7: 🇮🇹 Venice, Italy - finished!
The challenge officially starts in Brno; with GPS tracking and social updates, the official place to keep up to date with all the team’s activity will be the dedicated Triple 7 website: https://www.parkleisure777.co.uk/.
Each day, there will be an update giving the low-down on the forthcoming day’s riding, including weather forecast, miles to be covered as well as photos and other juicy details from the previous day.
See you soon!
