A short guide to Ribble Valley

Beyond Ribble Valley you’ll find the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty, offering 300 square miles of unspoilt landscape. There are so many ways this tranquil area can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities, whether by walking, cycling, fishing or horse riding. It’s no surprise this area attracts the same visitors time and time again, to the place where time stands still.

Just a few miles from the park is the quaint town of Gisburn. Comprised of stone cottages, partly cobbled streets and a large 17th century inn, Gisburn is an idyllic, picturesque country village. Set slightly back from the village is the Gisburn Park Manor, once the seat of Lord of Ribblesdale overlooking the Forest of Bowland. Full of history and intriguing details this little village is the perfect day out.
