During this year’s World Cup we have a special part exchange promotion. Anyone who part exchanges during the World Cup will receive a Personal Drinks Fridge – full of drinks! if England get through to the semi-finals you will also receive a 32’’ LCD T.V. and if England win the World Cup your name will be put into a hat with a chance for 1 lucky person to win £15,000.00 cheque! this will be drawn shortly after the final. We have started a book swap up in the Pavilion in aid of ‘Precious Lives Appeal’. Books can be bought for 50p, please bring any books for other people to enjoy.

Many thanks to everyone who came to the Cheese and Wine evening, I think you’ll agree an excellent time was had by all. Congratulations to Sue Parker and the ‘Brummies’ for winning 1st place, Pat’s Pals 2nd place and Team Powell for 3rd place, a special prize of a Pineapple was given to Mike & Pat Forster – two person team entry – well done!. Thank you to everyone who took part we raised a fantastic amount of £115.99p! A big thank you to everyone that helped us raise money for this wonderful charity ‘Precious Lives’.

Many thanks to everyone that kindly gave their donations to the Cornwall Air Ambulance during our Hog Roast party on the 3rd April. The amount raised was £46.58.

We look forward to seeing you all at the Cheese & Wine evening on the Saturday the 29th May at 6pm, the chartity for this function will be 'The Precious Lives Appeal'.

For those of you who may not be aware, we are in the process of transferring our out-dated television system to a new digital Satellite System. We are offering all Par Sands owners the choice of having Free Sat installed for a one-off payment of £200.00. Please call into reception for more information or to book a consultation with Jonathon our AV Contractor. Our underground T.V. system will be shut down by October 2010. Any owners who are already enjoying the benefits of the satellite system will carry on as normal and this does not affect you.

As we now have two joiners on site they have ‘caught up’ with decking’s so anyone thinking of having a decking now is the time to pop into the office and discuss it. You could have your decking ready for those long hot summer nights that we’ve been promised!!!!

Our next owner party will take place on Saturday 29th May 2010 at the Pavilion, from 6pm Cheese and Wine will be served followed by a Quiz. This party is all in aid of the Precious Lives Appeal – donations can be given on the evening. Please register your quiz teams at Reception by the 15th May – maximum 4 adults per team please.

What an outstanding success the Eater Egg Hunt was and what a surprise to find out how many children we have on the park! We hope all the little ones enjoyed searching and exploring the park for their 5 eggs and a great thank you to the owners who gave out the eggs, Mr & Mrs Shaw, Mr & Mrs Etheridge, Mr & Mrs Bagley and Mr & Mrs Golder. A final thank you to Gail for the time and effort she took in writing and organising the clues and making sure it was a successful day for the children.

We hope you all thoroughly enjoyed the Hog Roast party we had at Easter, I think you’ll agree a good time was had by all! The Hog was a great success and our thanks go to Lobb’s Farm for all the care and effort they took in roasting and preparing it for us. Everyone’s enjoyed a drink of wine and beer and of course soft drinks for the little ones were available, a big thank you to everyone that helped and a thank you for the kind donations to the well deserved charity ‘Cornwall Air Ambulance’, we had not intended for it to be a charity event but all donations were gratefully received. We are now looking forward to our next owner’s party which will take place on Saturday 29th May - keep an eye out for your owner’s newsletters for all the details.

First of all a big welcome back to all our owners here at Par Sands, we hope you are all enjoying the sun and making the most of the lovely weather. With Gail’s artistic flourish, our Reception was transformed into the ‘Crab Tea Room’ for the afternoon for our welcome back Cream Tea. From 2pm we had many owners call in for their scones and clotted cream and we enjoyed seeing you all back at the Park, we hope you enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere as much as we enjoyed looking after you. We will be running a similar ‘End of Season’ party in October when we are all packing up to say our goodbyes. Thanks to Gail, Gwen and Nikki for all their help we hope a good time was had by all. Remember if there is a theme or event you would like to put forward to us for the owners parties please pop in and see myself or Jim.

With many new 2010 models arriving on our sales ground and some fantastic part-exchange deals available there’s no better time to upgrade, why not come in and ask about the ‘Diamond Club’ all the benefits of owning your own luxury holiday home while only paying for the time you use it. Your suggestions are welcome for owners events we can all participate in this season.

We require 4 original ideas for themed events to take place on the park, please contact Tudor on 01726-812868 to discuss your thoughts.

We have had a succesful year in 2009 raising money for the Children In Need Appeal and are delighted to announce that we have achieved a sum of just over £7,000 for this wonderful cause.

The Winners for the various prizes are as follows:

1st Prize: A Brand New Holiday Home goes to Mrs D Thomas from Saltassh in Cornwall. Mrs Thomas has chosen to locate her New Holiday Home at Par Sands Holiday Park . The lucky ticket seller was Mrs E Gibbs at Par Sands Holiday Park and she wins the superb prize of two free years site fees.

2nd Prize: Two weeks Holiday in on of our Spanish Villas- La Torre Golf Resort including flights goes to Mrs J Moore from Brandon in Durham. Congratulations and have a great Holiday with us in Murcia.

3rd Prize: Two weeks Holiday at our Park in Cornwall, Par Sands Holiday Park goes to an existing owner with us at Amble Links, Mr J McManus. Enjoy your stay.

We would like to thank all who participated in this fund raising event throughout 2009 and we are sure that the Appeal appreciate your efforts greatly.

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Forster of F4 who are the lucky winners of the survey sheet prize draw. They won £500 off their site fees for next year.

At the time of writing Its half way through September and the summer has arrived late “Thankfully at last” we hear you say. The park looks glorious when the weather is like this and it is busy with people making the best of sun and the park is filled with the smell of BBQs sizzling away .
Talking of late, don’t wait too long before you pop along to the office and spin the Wheel Of Fortune, some of your contemporaries have already won, amongst others prizes; free gas bottles, £250 of next year’s site fees and £3000 of the price of a new caravan. This has meant lots of happy folk in and around the park, more so the people who have taken advantage of the offer and upgraded themselves into a new caravan, So now you know why we have so many “Sold” signs on the show ground caravans.
We are aware that some of our owners with older models of caravans don’t like the thought of change but you should be aware it is more beneficial to you if you upgrade (either to a new or used caravan) sooner rather than later. This is due to the demand for caravans, caused by the lack of manufacturers. So unlike past years where supply and demand were almost equal, this year has seen demand far outweigh the supply. This has obviously had a knock on effect in respect of prices; these are expected to rise for the next few years until the supply and demand again become more level
Leading on from the sale of caravans, we are now awaiting the delivery of not only the 2010 ABI Connoisseur but also 2010 models from Atlas, Pemberton and Willerby. These will restock the showground. So keep an eye out and then see either Tudor or Jim for a look around the new models.
