Our charitable efforts
Charity is a vein that runs deep within the Park Leisure business. Whether it’s our Directors setting out on an intrepid cycling mission, our Head Office team tackling a fundraising challenge, our parks hosting fundraising events or even our owners raising money - we like to give back.
Throughout the years we have raised money for various charities and have lost count of the amount we have raised. Calling on business partners, staff, owners and the general public, we set ourselves a fundraising target each year for our chosen charity.
Charity of the year
We are delighted to announce that our chosen charity for 2019 is Macmillan.
In 2018 we raised over £30,000 for Candlelighters & Cancer Research UK., and we'd love to exceed this amount in 2019!
We’ll be supporting Macmillan throughout the year, with fundraising events and charity challenges across each of our parks. This year will see “The Grand Finale” Directors’ bike ride, which promises to be the biggest and toughest yet.

Who are Macmillan Cancer Support?
We’re incredibly excited to support these wonderful charities again in 2018, here’s a bit more information about each of them:
Macmillan: Life with cancer is still life. Everyone has heard of MacMillan Cancer Support, but only those of us who have needed their support really understand how amazing they are. MacMillan help us when we need help the most: when we are most vulnerable, most frightened, and most desperate. After over 100 years of helping so many people, MacMillan truly understand what’s most important: to treat everyone as a person, not just a patient. MacMillan want to help everyone with cancer find their best way through, from the moment of diagnosis, so they’re able to live life as fully as they can. If you choose to donate to, you can be someone who helps make that happen.
We are thrilled that helping to fight cancer is our theme this year, and we have loads planned to ensure we beat last year’s amazing fundraising total.
Our fundraising target this year is £100,000. We really appreciate any support you can give – even just £1 will make a difference.
