A weekend at Littondale...

One of our team members went to Littondale over the weekend to check out the park, local area and all there is to enjoy!

The day started with a 2.5 mile hike straight from the park to Kettlewell (a popular idyllic village). The hike up and over the Dales took about 1.5 hours so was relatively easy. You can walk back to Arncliffe doing a different route which was another few miles, but we ended up back at the pub! Here’s the view of Littondale from the hike...

Then to Arncliffe to stop off for a well deserved drink! The Woolpack (now the Falcon Inn), took about 35 minutes to walk to from Littondale (a well sign posted river walk). While sat outside enjoying a drink a vintage car rocked up at one point which was random but quite fitting!

We went swimming in the river up by Arncliffe to cool off after walking! There’s also a popular place to swim in the river about 10 mins drive from park – Appletree Wick, and also people swimming in the river in Kettlewell.

You can get straight to the river from the park in about 5 mins and we saw some kids from the park down there with their dog by themselves having fun. There was also lots of owners having a drink together on the picnic benches, catching up and all the kids playing together in a rounders tournament!

The Coniston

This experience at The Coniston was amazing, to come and use the outdoor pool in the sunshine with a beers and glass of fizz was incredible! They offer different experiences and spa treatments and with this being 30 minutes from Littondale it is the perfect couples day trip. We were so lucky to experience the Yorkshire Tea Bath with an outdoor bath in our private spa garden. Just sit back and soak up the spectacular scenery for an unforgettable afternoon!
