Autumn & Winter On-Park

At Park Leisure summer isn’t the only time to holiday! Owning your own holiday home at a Park leisure park offers you the freedom to holiday whenever you want. All 11 of our parks around the UK are open 365 days a year so whenever you want to pack your car up for a getaway, your holiday home is waiting for you. So, forget the days of counting down to next summer!

Arguably we believe that Autumn and Winter are the most magical on our parks. As the seasons change and our parks are filled with greenery changing to burnt orange colours, crowds are starting to die down in top local attractions.

Going to the coast or countryside in the autumn and winter months can be enjoyed as much as in the summer giving you the opportunity to appreciate it with a new perspective. It may be colder but if you have an extra layer and warm drinks packed, you can enjoy all the outdoors has to offer.

Here are a few of our teams recommendations for the perfect coastal winter walks:

Embleton Bay, Northumberland - Embleton Bay is a long stretch of stunning sand that is overlooked by the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle. This beach is dog friendly so the whole family can join in but make sure you check for when the tide it low to make the walk easier! Along the way there is a pub to stop at so you can warm yourself up and tuck into a homely meal.

Looe, Cornwall - This coastal town is a delight to visit in the Autumn & Winter as it quietens down from the summer rush you can enjoy the quaint streets, local cafe's and shops and chat with the local residents to find the best hidden gems!

If the countryside is taking your fancy, take a look at some winter walks below which are particularly beautiful in the colder months:

Fountains Abbey, Yorkshire - The scenery of the grounds in the winter is a true wonderland. From different points of the walk around the monastery you can see a crisp frost covering the grass and the gentle walk is easy for the whole family.

Pass of Aberglaslyn and Cwm Bychan from Beddgelert, Snowdonia, North Wales - This walk around Snowdonia boasts some of the best scenery you can find and is perfect for colder months as it's a low level walk so on a clear, crisp day it is truly beautiful.
