At our Pentire park, there’s no shortage of nearby activities to get involved with, or sights to marvel at. If you’re a holiday home owner with us and considering a trip to Pentire, what is there to do?
The activities we’ve listed below make us truly proud of our beautiful, unspoiled English surroundings in the North Cornwall area. Do they convince you to break free at Pentire? 🇬🇧👇
1. Carnewas and Bedruthan Steps
What better way to kick off this list than with one of the absolute must-see, most popular places on the Cornish coast? It’s been popular with visitors since the Victorian times for a reason...
The Carnewas and Bedruthan Steps offer magnificent walks past picture-postcard coves, windswept headlands and holiday resorts. The stretch of coast running north of Bedruthan ranks among the prettiest in the South West. Get a load of that English coastline beauty!
2. Lose yourself in Port Isaac
Celebrate English Tourism Week in the charming, historic little harbour town of Port Isaac. Beginning as a small fishing village, it has now become a popular location for film and television, including the TV series Doc Martin. Navigate your way through the narrow, winding streets of the old village, bearing history from the 14th century.
Oh, and don’t forget to stop for some tea. It couldn’t get more English, could it?
3. The Camel Trail Why not get active for English Tourism Week, and in doing so, savour some of England’s finest countryside? It’s not all about the coast, you know (as fantastic as it is)...
The Camel Trail is a 17 mile-long cycleway running through some of the most spectacular countryside in the South West. This well-made path is popular with walkers, cyclists and joggers of all levels.
The frequency of cafe or pub stops is completely up to you!
4. Visit Cornwall’s ‘Culinary Capital’
Cornwall’s self-proclaimed ‘Culinary Capital’ and famous fishing port of Padstow is a must-visit - so pop it on your bucket list for English Tourism Week.
A favourite of celebrities, locals and visitors alike, immerse yourself in the chilled-out vibe of harbour life and spend the day exploring or sampling the local cuisine in one of its popular eateries..
5. Crealy Adventure Park One for all the family - experience some of England and the South West’s finest thrills, with over 60 rides and attractions to choose from.
There’s park rides, indoor and outdoor fun, animals and pre-school activities. It’s a guaranteed fun-filled day out together, whatever the weather.
