Discover Hidden Adventures: Heritage Open Days 2019 Festival

Why should summer have all the fun? There’s so much to love about that shift into more autumnal weather; the crisp leaves, pleasant breeze and fair weather.

Perfect for days out and adventures near one of our twelve stunning parks, we’d say.

That’s exactly why we were really excited to learn about the Heritage Open Days Festival.

In a celebration of history and culture, this festival brings together more than 2,000 organisations and 5,000 events. Each one has a special place or space, and each is opening its doors for a limited time in order to celebrate their heritage. This means a chance to see hidden places and a range of new experiences. The best bit — it’s all absolutely free!

So, whether you’re an on-park owner seeking some new and exciting ways to spend your time away this month, or you’re thinking about booking a short break with us, we’ve picked out some of the many amazing events and open days out there.

These little days out are guaranteed to make your September break that bit more exciting; to help you plan your trip, we’ve picked out a few events by region!

Of course, there’s thousands of things to see and do, but here’s a snapshot of what’s on offer within driving distance of our parks. All events are free, but some require pre-booking and are at varying dates between 13–22 September, so check out the Festival for full details.
