With bonfire night this year looking a little different, we’ve come up with our top 9 crafts to keep you busy at home or at your home-from-home this November.
Make the most of the surrounding nature and make some cute lanterns for your home. Collect some beautiful fallen autumn leaves and using a glass jar and some pva glue add your leaves to the outside of your jar. Leave to dry then add a candle inside to show off the autumn colours.
Great for little ones, play dough is a firm favourite all year round! With plenty of different recipes on the internet, you can then add your own seasonal colourings and some sparkles to give it some extra fire!
Decorate your door for the season with your own autumnal wreath. Collect some pine cones on a woodland walk then using a wreath form and some floral wire attach the pine cones to your wreath. You can even paint the tips of your pine cones with some gold paint to add a bit more sparkle.
Traditionally used by children to gather money for fireworks and sweets, these days you’re more likely to find the Guy on top of a bonfire. Make your own this year using some straw and some old clothes.
Knit or crotchet yourself and your loved ones some cosy winter gloves this year. Bonfire night is the perfect excuse to curl up by the fire, find a pattern and crotchet this years Christmas presents!
This craft will get the kids zooming round creating your very own at home firework display. Using an old toilet roll tube, some coloured card, coloured tissue paper, craft your own colourful fireworks. Great for little hands to get involved with!
Decorate your home with this cute bunting. Using some acorn caps, some autumnal coloured pompoms and a hot glue gun, this is a super simple craft for all ages that will look great around your home
Another great one for getting outdoors and foraging, collect some conkers in your local area. Then using some black paint create cute little faces on the lighter part of your conkers, then using some white paint add some spikes to the darker part of the conker. Super cute and your kids will be carrying them around in their pockets until Christmas.
Start your Remembrance Day crafts early, cosy up on bonfire night with a hot chocolate and create yourself a poppy sun catcher. Using some black card, create yourself a poppy shape, then using some sticky back plastic and some green and red tissue paper fill in your poppy shape. Finally, hang in pride of place in your window for all to see!
