We know how hard it can be to keep yourself entertained indoors, when all you’re dreaming of is that next holiday or trip away. With many households now restricted to time in the house, we’ve come up with a list of five fun things to keep you entertained at home…enjoy!
Board games have been flying off the shelves, meaning many of you are left without your favourite fix – whether it be Monopoly, Cluedo or good old Snakes and Ladders. But not to worry, get out some paper, card, cardboard – whatever you have to hand, and your coloured pencils, pens or paints and draw up your favourite board. That odds and bobs box may come in handy too…use some left over buttons as counters! Here’s our recommendations based on your skill level:
Easy: Snakes and Ladders, Draughts
Moderate: Sorry, Pictionary
Hard: Monopoly, Scrabble
Extreme: Cluedo, Guess Who
How adventurous are you feeling?
Not only helping you look a bit more groomed, hosting your own spa day is great for improving your wellbeing and mindfulness. Set aside 2 or 3 hours and start by running yourself a warm bubble bath, light some candles and listen to some soothing meditation or relaxation music. Once you’re feeling fresh and relaxed, put on a face mask; and create a DIY foot spa and sit back and relax for 20-30 minutes.
Create your own face mask by combining…2 tablespoons of oatmeal, 1 tablespoon of honey and one teaspoon of lemon juice.
Create your own foot spa by combining …250ml Listerine, 250ml Apple Cider or White Vinegar and 500ml of warm water.
Finish off by rinsing your face with warm water, washing and exfoliating your feet and painting your nails to feel a little bit glam!
Catching up with loved ones in a must in our eyes. Why not host your own virtual coffee club, or a tea if you’re feeling a bit more British? The rules…
Invite your nearest and dearest to a group video chat (Whatsapp, Facetime, Google Duo, Skype etc.)
Make sure they all come armed with a brew, and even a slice of cake of you’ve been baking that day.
Catch up like you would at home – without arguing about who’s going to put the kettle on!
Set a date for your next coffee club.
