Herefordshire Events for Autumn Season

What's going on in Herefordshire?

We’ve got a breadth of performances, activities and events to excite every passion and awaken every sense.

For your eyes and ears, you’ll find a host of regular performance art including music, comedy and theatre. If you prefer something more hands-on try an arts and crafts session - such as a potters wheel workshop. Our many country gardens will give your sense of smell a floral treat.

Lonesome Ace Stringband

Thu 12 Sep 2019, Hay on Wye

The Lonesome Ace Stringband is an old-time band with bluegrass chops that play some righteous folk and country music. There's a depth of groove and sense of space not often heard in bluegrass today, a level of instrumental interplay and vocal blend uncommon in old-time, and an on-stage rapport that transcends all of this.

Ride and Stride

September 14th, Herefordshire

Are you interested in cycling, walking, riding - and the beauty of Herefordshire and its churches, Gothic architecture, stained glass windows, carved woodwork? Then get stuck in! Visit as many (or as few) churches as you want on the day. And it’s all for free!

National Ride + Stride chairman says: “Churches are so important spiritually and aesthetically, and they are the setting for some of the most important events in all of our lives – baptisms, weddings and funerals. But they are also increasingly becoming a focus for the wider community. Ride + Stride is not just for people who go to church, it is for couples and individuals who want an excuse for riding miles on a Saturday, or for families who want to do something fun and worthwhile".
