As a lot of us might not be able to be with our mums this Mother's Day, there are still many ways to make it special for your mum so she feels appreciated!
Lunch over zoom
If you can’t be with your mum on Mother’s Day why not make it as normal as possible by making the same meal for lunch or dinner and having it together to feel as close as possible.
Surprise family call
If you don’t live with your mum or your siblings are across the country/world, why not set up a time that would work for everyone and surprise your mum with a family reunion to have a catch up. We’re sure it’ll be something you mum remembers.
Afternoon tea at home
Who doesn’t love an afternoon tea treat! You can order from her favourite café to support a local business who will deliver to your house and you can set it out on the table to mimic a café. Alternatively, you can make your own! As it is typically smaller pieces of food it isn’t expensive to make yourself and you can make all your mums favourite parts of an afternoon tea. Don’t forget the bubbles...
Recreate her favourite restaurant
Whether you can order from the venue or recreate the food yourself at home, this is a lovely surprise to feel that bit closer to being out of the house! Ask your mum to get dressed up, lay the table as a restaurant table and create a menu on word that looks as close to the restaurant menu as you can. Invite her in to your dining room, serve the food and enjoy!
