Matty's top tips for your January Diet

January is one of the most popular times for Brits to get healthy and lean! But many of us fall down and break our new fitness New Year's Resolutions far too fast, so our Health and Fitness on-park experts have been providing us with the best ways to stay fit and healthy in Janaury.

Here's Matty from Amble's top tips for your diet plan...

1. Load your plate with green vegetables

2. Eat a balanced breakfast - it's definitely the most important meal of the day

3. Don’t starve yourself – this can cause you to give up on the diet

4. Have a plan when you go to the supermarket – don’t shop hungry!

5. Cut down on processed foods - it may seem obvious but not everyone does this

6. Limit your sodium and sugar

7. Don’t just count calories - calories are important but calories from junk food vs calories from health food are totally different

8. Switch to whole grains

Whole grains release energy slower, making you fuller for longer

9. Drink plenty water.

10. Enjoy your food - savour every mouthful
