When the festive season has come to a close it can often feel like a real struggle to keep things fresh and lively at the beginning of the new year. This Blue Monday, we’ve got plenty of examples of why blue really is the warmest colour, with some colourful images guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
Blue flag beaches
At Park Leisure, our parks are located in some of the most stunning locations in the UK, and some of our parks are lucky enough to have some Blue Flag beaches nearby, awarded for their cleanliness and high environmental standards.
Beaches such as Widemouth Bay and Crooklets Beach located near our Pentire park are a joy to visit all year round and provide breathtaking scenery. so don't wait until the summer crowds gather to get out and breathe in that fresh sea air.
Blue skies over Amble Links
Amble Links is placed just a stone’s throw from the spectacular Northumberland coastline, and this image perfectly captures the calming blues of Amble Beach. The beach is popular with walkers, families, and water sports enthusiasts as it makes a great place for surfing and kayaking. Some stretches of the beach have rockpools exposed at low tide, with interesting shore-life to discover. Definitely a must-see on your next trip to the seaside!
Pampering the blues
If you're in need of some TLC, immerse yourself in the calming blue of one of the many luxurious pools you'll find on our parks. Self-care is a must this month and we love Plas Coch’s amazing indoor pool and hydrotherapy pools for a day of rest and relaxation.
You can also find wonderful leisure facilities at Amble Links, Brynteg, Oyster Bay and Par Sands.
Bright blue beach huts
Beach huts sprinkle our seaside towns with colour, and Summerleaze in Bude is a truly special location. Located just a short drive from Pentire, Summerleaze Beach is hailed as an original purpose-built Victorian sea pool and beach hut location, these gorgeous beach huts are instantly noticeable as you wander down the short sand path leading from the car park, out onto the open cove style beach.
Blue ice cream at Brymor ice cream parlour
Just a short drive from our Yorkshire Dales park, you can find the home of real Yorkshire ice cream at Brymor Ice Cream Parlour, made with love in the rolling hills of Wensleydale. The bright blue Bubblegum flavour in particular will bring a cheerful smile to anyone who tastes it! This larger-than-life ice cream is so popular because of its stunning aqua colour and giant boom of Bubble-gum flavour.
