With 2022 here, we are preparing for the best year possible, full of fresh adventure and new experiences. With that said, we’re really looking forward to January being national ‘Walk your dog’ month! The cold crisp air may not be for everyone, but we know our four-legged friends don’t care…
Across the UK we have some beautifully picturesque walking trails, so let’s celebrate it! Walk your dog month is an opportunity to get you and your furry friends outdoors for some quality time together, while also getting some time to appreciate the stunning locations you call home.

Document your walks for memories
Take a one-second video of each of your dog walks throughout the month and make a #walkyourdogmonth video which you will be able to look back at throughout 2022. You can do this by downloading 1 Second Everyday - Your Video Diary
Change your routine
After a period of you and your four-legged friend walking the same route, it can start to feel a bit boring. Why not change up your routes to create a little more excitement? You could even set yourself a daily walk find, where you look for something each day that makes you smile. This could be anything from the sun shining through the trees or the first sign of snowdrops flowering.
Walk with your community
Walking your dog is proven to reduce the odds of developing mental illness, lower your stress, lower loneliness, and boost community connections. So, bring your community together and take a stroll along your happy place. (Don't forget to respect social distancing!)
Why not bring your dog to one of our stunning locations by booking a private viewing at one of our 11 locations and explore the endless benefits of becoming an owner at Park Leisure. Not only are we pet-friendly at Park Leisure but we encourage our owners to bring their pets on-park, so much so that we have tortoises, rabbits and birds across our parks which have been brought across the country by our owners to their second homes.
