On Friday 17th August, Park Leisure has yet another pivotal mile stone, as we celebrated phase one of our latest development, Allerthorpe Golf & Park Retreat.
Set in the heart of East Yorkshire, in some of the county’s most stunning landscape, our launch marked the official opening of our newly designed 18-card, nine-hole golf course and first-class clubhouse, 'The Pheasant Bar & Dining'.
Leading the celebrations was East Yorkshire MP, Sir Greg Knight, joined by our very own CEO Miles Dewhurst, who cut the ribbon before being the first to officially tee off on the new course.
The phase one opening follows over six months of extensive work to transform the former redundant golf course into one of the region’s most attractive leisure developments, with established and novice golfers now enjoying the 5-Star facilities for themselves.
Speaking on the phase one launch, Miles Dewhurst commented: “Four years ago we committed to building a luxury retreat in Allerthorpe and it’s an incredible moment today, to see it all coming together. We have invested significantly in what was a redundant golf course, working with the incredible landscape to bring it back to life for the local community and leisure visitors.
“Allerthorpe Golf & Park Retreat really will set the standards for us as a business going forward. It will offer the ultimate luxury, five-star experience.”
East Yorkshire MP, Sir Greg Knight, added: “Allerthorpe Golf & Park Retreat is a welcome new facility in the East Riding, adding to the range of local amenities available. It will also play a part in boosting tourism in the area and I am delighted to declare it open for the benefit of the local community and tourists alike.”
Allerthorpe Golf & Park Retreat is open seven days a week, between 9am and 9pm Friday - Tuesday and between 9am and 5pm Wednesday and Thursday. Guests teeing off outside of these hours are to be advised that the office and facilities will not be open. Bookings can be made year-round online at www.allerthorpegolf.co.uk/book-a-tee-time.
