Back in 2014, the world famous Tour de France arrived in Yorkshire, and it’s never really left. Winding through stunning Yorkshire towns and villages, the streets were lined with cheering crowds soaking up the sunshine, eagerly awaiting the moment cyclists would whoosh by. The atmosphere throughout the day was electric.
Blink and you missed it, but it wasn’t just about cyclists, it was about getting together, celebrating what Yorkshire has to offer and making memories with friends and family.
From this, the Tour de Yorkshire was born, and five years later it continues to attract cyclists from far and wide. For a long weekend in May, the usually quiet routes are lined with crowds cheering and revelling in the British sunshine, enjoying the stunning Yorkshire countryside.
We have five luxury parks across Yorkshire, all perfect bases for your Tour de Yorkshire weekend getaway. Whether you want to be out in the countryside, enjoying a traditional village street party or in the heart of popular towns like Harrogate, Bedale, Masham, Leyburn and Skipton, our Yorkshire parks are all ideally located.
Take your pick from Allerthorpe, Chantry, Littondale, Ribble Valley or the Yorkshire Dales, all situated in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Each park combines 5-Star facilities with spectacular scenery and tranquil surroundings, as well as abundant opportunities to discover charming villages, far-reaching landscapes and cascading waterfalls.
