Valentine's treats to make

Whether you’re spending valentine’s day on your own this year or you want to treat your partner or involve your children, there are plenty of meals and treats you can make to brighten your day...

Chocolate dipped strawberries

This is a treat anyone can join in with and enjoy as you can use dark, milk, white or vegan chocolate! Just melt your chosen flavour and dip your strawberries in to get an even coverage and set on a lined tray. Top with another type of chocolate or your desired treat and set in the fridge for a least 2 hours.

Red velvet treats

Add red food colouring and a small amount of cocoa powder to your usual cake mixture to create the ‘red’ look, then top with vanilla buttercream and your favorite yummy decorations for the ultimate Valentine’s Day treat.

Cake pops

For a small easy treat which is great to make with kids, cake pops will satisfy the whole family. Make your usual cake batter and bake in a tray. Once cooled, crumble up your cake and add buttercream so that the mixture binds together. Roll into your desired size and push a lollypop stick halfway into the cake pop. Set on a lined tray and chill in the fridge for 2 hours. Once set, cover them in your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Valentine’s buffet

If you want to add a twist to your usual food, use a heart shaped cutter to make your food tie into the Valentine’s Day theme. From something savoury like heart-shaped sandwiches or pizza, to something sweet like waffles, cinnamon rolls or brownies. The opportunities for heart-shaped treats are endless!

Romantic pancakes

Why not have pancake day early and celebrating 2 days in 1!

Make your pancakes as you usually would, and stack thin layers on top of each other and place in the oven on a low heat. For your toppings, use red or pink themed foods such as strawberries, strawberry sauce or white chocolate with pink food colouring.
