The days are getting longer and the weather is slowly picking up - perfect for a getaway, right? Here are a few activities in the North Wales area that might tempt you to take an impromptu break at Brynteg or Plas Coch.
Make some memories this March by getting involved with some of the below.
1. Saint David’s Day festivities
St David’s Day falls on 1 March - and there’s a bunch of activities in the North Wales area to get involved with that’ll get you into the Welsh spirit and celebrating Saint David. There’s castles, railways, mountains, squirrel trails (for the kids) and more... We’ve got the full list here.
2. Flea market in Llandudno
Make the short, trip over to the charming seaside town of Llandudno and see what the Town Hall’s flea market has to offer.
The flea market in Llandudno runs every second Saturday of the month throughout the year (excluding July) - which places it on 9 March this year. The Town Hall will be packed with up to 16 double stalls, promising to contain interestingly, quirky second-hand items; why not take a look?
When you’re done at the flea market, take a leisurely stroll along the North Shore. Following that, what better than a spot of shopping and 2p arcade machine game-playing at the town’s renowned 19th-century Llandudno Pier?
A famous cooking duo are also in Llandudno at Venue Cymru on 16 March for a talk - so any fans of the Hairy Bikers should be sure to take a look at event details!
Take the short journey over to Bangor for some incredible hot-air balloon antics. Farrés Bros & Co. have taken a hot air balloon and transformed it into an amazing theatrical experience - well-known throughout Spain and Europe, they’re in Wales for the first time! Not to be missed.
4. Incredible local arts
There’s an incredible programme of live shows throughout North Wales in March. It’d take ages to list them all, so why not take a look at the full list? One that looks particularly exciting to us is the comedy club in Bagor - a chilled night with some fantastic local talent. Get a real feel for North Wales!
5. GreenWood Family Park
As well as the squirrel trail over the half term, don’t forget Mother’s Day on Sunday 31 March (you’re welcome - we’d almost forgotten when writing this blog post!). Treat Mum by going free on Mother’s Day weekend at GreenWood Family Park. A family day out surrounded by nature!
That’s not all, of course. We’ve picked out three of our favourite events in North Wales from a huge list - so check that out to see if there’s something that also takes you and your family’s fancy!
Convinced you to leave it all behind for a quick, luxury break this March? Your relaxing, memory-filled weekend awaits - see you soon!
